Hello 👋, I'm Opeyemi Okuboyejo
I am a DevOps & Cloud Engineer with 15+ years of progressive IT experience delivering secure, automated, and scalable cloud infrastructures. I specialize in AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud security, and end-to-end DevOps automation.
My background blends deep hands-on engineering with broad leadership across systems administration, cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, and platform reliability. I design resilient architectures, automate complex deployments, and improve developer productivity through cloud-native tooling.
I’ve built multiple real-world projects, including automated EKS clusters using Terraform modules, self-hosted VPN solutions on AWS, full Kubernetes monitoring stacks (Prometheus + Grafana), secure containerized environments on EC2 with Nginx reverse proxy, and multi-service microservices deployed on EKS.
My decade-long foundation in enterprise IT—servers, networks, virtualization, VDI, Windows/Linux administration, security baselining, and IT operations—gives me a unique hybrid advantage: I understand legacy environments deeply and can modernize them into fully automated, cloud-native systems.

My Projects
End-to-End DevSecOps Project - Automating Provisioning, Deployment and Monitoring of an 11-Microservice e-Commerce App on kubernetes (EKS)
End-to-End CI/CD & Monitoring Using Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, Grafana & Prometheus
This project demonstrates a complete, production-grade DevSecOps pipeline for deploying a cloud-native e-commerce application built on 11 different microservices written in multiple programming languages that communicate with each other over gRPC. The application was originally designed by Google Developers for the GKE but I have adapted it to be deployed on Amazon EKS or on any Kubernetes cluster.

In this mini-project, I demonstrated how to setup and self-host a VPN server on AWS using terraform and OpenVPN Access Server.

Systems & Network Engineer
- Regularly relate directly with clients to resolve various challenges with their PCs ranging from hardware faults to software crashes and general interconnectivity issues that arise from day-to-day usage of personal computers (including Laptops and Desktops) both in-house and onsite.
- Procured suitable and appropriate computer systems for both individuals and organizations based on professional recommendations
- Negotiated several IT contracts and led the delivery of various end-to-end projects over an 8-year period Supplied and configured servers, LAN, WAN, wireless networks, and end-user devices for multiple office spaces as well as technology refresh of State Government and private establishments like printing press, large workshops, and personnel workspaces. 95% of the projects were delivered within budget, scope, and time while also ensuring quality service was delivered.
- Secured and managed multi-year contracts to maintain the smooth running of the IT infrastructure. This multi-year contracts across multiple offices helped keep the operations of the State Government on a sustainable budget, achieve operational efficiency between different locations, reduce time to delivery and improved stability.
- As part of mentoring initiatives, I led several initiatives targeted at developing IT skills in the community and providing internship, IT training and development for young graduates and college students transiting to universities
